Hats Off to PAWfest - The Charity Music Festival Wows Crowds
Saturday 9th June: What a great afternoon and evening, and what an achievement - hats off to Liz and Colin at Somerset and Dorset Animal Rescue for all their hard work to organise a charity event on the scale of PAWfest.
Pilgrim Singers in Good Voice for Their Latest Concerts
The Pilgrim Singers were in good voice at their latest two concerts, a Jubilee Roof-Aid Celebration at the Parish Church on 2nd June and the second as a participating choir at the Stourhead Festival of the Voice on 9th June.

Since 2008 The Nog Inn has hosted a charity quiz night on the last Thursday of every month. Last year the quiz raised £2,146 and over £9,000 has been donated to various local and national charities in the past four years.

King Arthur's School Mentor Relays Olympic Torch
King Arthur's nomination of Mr Steve Lafferty from Wincanton was approved by the Olympic committee and he ran his short stretch early on the 22nd May in Taunton. Afterwards, students queued for photos with Steve and the Olympic Torch.
Change of Gear for Cycling Dentist
Wincanton dentist Geoff Worrall is taking part in the 100k Night Rider bike ride around London to raise money for Arthritis Research UK on the 9th of June 2012. This will be Geoff's third fund-raising bike ride for the charity.
