A presentation by Tony Goddard for the Wincanton Museum and History Society on Thursday 29th May in the Memorial Hall. The presentation will be supported by archive photos and battlefield artefacts.

Residents of Carrington House helped to create a textile piece at the Balsam Centre commemorating the 37 men from Wincanton who are on the Roll of Honour at the Parish Church.

Coast to Coast Walk to Help Rebuild Typhoon-Ravaged Balud
We shall be walking coast-to-coast across Devon via the Two Moors Way in early June to raise money to help rebuild Balud village in the Phillipines. The people here, where I have family, lost everything in a typhoon in 2013.
Heritage Lottery Funding Comes to Wincanton
A First World War Community and Arts Heritage Project has won Heritage Lottery Funding. The project focuses on the impact the War had on Wincanton 100 years ago, using local artefacts and commemorative crafted objects to engage with young people.

Wincanton Choral Society Performs Rossini on Sunday 18th May
The Wincanton Choral Society Spring Concert will take place in the Wincanton Sports Centre on Sunday 18th May. The 100-strong choir and soloists will sing La Petite Messe Solennelle (Little Solemn Mass) by Rossini.
'The Great Gatsby' – Wincanton Film Society – Tuesday 20th May
Wincanton Film Society is screening 'The Great Gatsby' at King Arthur’s Performance Enhancement Centre on Tuesday 20th May. The cast is headed by Leonardo Di Caprio; a visually stunning film about one of the classic periods of the 20th Century.
Wincanton Street Market Starts its 2014 Season Sunday 18th May
