Wincanton Silver Band recently released another social distancing video and has dug deep into its Somerset roots by recording a special arrangement of The Wurzels’ “Combine Harvester”.

James White, the Band’s Musical Director, composed the arrangement that the Band has previously played at Wincanton and Chard carnivals. It is a favourite with the crowds and this video is proving to be popular on Facebook with over 11,000 people seeing the post so far. It has even been picked up by Fans of The Wurzels Official Facebook Group. It is great that the Band can bring pleasure and entertainment to the public during these difficult times.

The Band is unsure when it can resume practising again and to begin planning for the future. Many engagements planned for the year have been cancelled owing to COVID-19, but the Band is keeping positive and hopes to present a local concert in the Autumn.
