Cucklington’s annual Summer Fair takes place at the Arthur Morison Memorial Hall on Saturday 4th July. A great family afternoon with something for everyone to enjoy, rounding off with a delicious barbecue.
The Market This Sunday Will Have Fruit & Veg!
The next Wincanton Sunday Market takes place this Sunday 21st June in the car park at Carrington Way. Regular market customers will be pleased to hear fresh fruit and vegetables will at last be available to buy.

Health Centre Management Will Attend Monday's Town Council Meeting
Following concerns over the quality of local health services, representatives of Wincanton Health Centre will be present for 30 minutes prior to the start of the next Wincanton Town Council meeting, on Monday 22nd June, to discuss these concerns with Councillors.
Next Wincanton Chamber Meeting – Friday 19th June
Having re-branded from Wincanton Businesses Together to “Wincanton Chamber”, the group is holding its first meeting under their new banner on Friday 19th at The Bear Inn, Wincanton. The meeting will start at 6.30pm and all business representatives are welcome.
Church Path Fete on Saturday 27th June
A Church Path Fete will take place at St. Peter & St. Paul’s Parish Church on Saturday 27th June. Free entry and lots of stalls, plus country dancing by the children of Wincanton Primary School.

Somerset County Council confirms that Wincanton is being fast-tracked for the installation of fibre optic broadband cables. Work crews have already begun preliminary tasks, and work may be complete in as little as three months if all goes well.
Local Man Arrested After West Hill Drink-Drive Incident
On Friday 5th June, Wincanton resident Toby Newton was arrested on a drink-drive charge after being involved in a traffic incident on West Hill. Police later charged Mr Newton with several motoring offences.

Funding Available for Community Groups in the Wincanton Area

The White Horse Hotel, a prominent business on Wincanton's High Street, has closed its doors without warning. On 9th April the owner of the business, Mr Paul Symes, was declared bankrupt in court in Yeovil.
