Wincanton’s Annual Duck Race

We’re proud to present our Annual Duck Race run by Our Lady’s Parent’s Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) to raise funds for the school (check out video of last year's event). It will be held on Sunday 17th May at the Wincanton Recreation Ground from 12.00 until 3.00pm.

We have lots of fun activities planned including face painting, welly throwing, guess the number of sweets in the jar, along with other stalls and good old-fashioned fun for all of the family.

Gorgeous food will be available to buy from the Red Chilli Shop to suit all taste buds, along with soft drinks. The Red Tricycle will be selling delightful ice creams from their vintage trike. There will also be a sweet stall run by the PTFA.

The main event is our duck race and tickets will be on sale beforehand or on the day, so you can race a duck in one of the many races for your chance to win a prize. Please ensure all young children are accompanied by an adult.

The River Cale C.A.T.C.H. team will be on hand to discuss how they’ve made huge improvements to the biodiversity of the River Cale and the surrounding area. They will have some stories to tell about what interesting artefacts they’ve recovered from the river.
