A wonderful sunny afternoon brought out droves of Wincanton families to enjoy the Duck Races at the Recreation Ground on Sunday 18th May, an annual fundraising event organised by the PTFA of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary School.

It was an afternoon of fun for all ages, with face painting, hair braiding, hook a duck, cakes, sweets, welly-wanging and refreshments. The CATCH team was also represented, which has taken such an initiative in making improvements to the River Cale environment in recent months.
