If you’ve ever wanted more, there’s a fabulous musical for you this Christmas. Wincanton Youth Theatre is putting on its biggest ever show, this weekend at King Arthur's School.

Oliver!

With characters we all love, and some we fear, this is the musical based on Charles Dickens’ classic Victorian tale. With a youth cast and full orchestra, the sensational score is full of wonderful, well-known and irresistible songs including: Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You've Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I'd Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, and As Long As He Needs Me.

The Youth Theatre has been running for over two and a half years and has over 40 members aged from 8 to 18 years.

“It’s ambitious, but we’ve been building towards a major musical, and the youngsters are so capable.”

 - Sarah Nias, Co-Director

“I love this show. And the kids have worked all summer to bring life to it. It’s utterly brilliant. Do come and see it.”

 - Kate Kirkpatrick, Co-Director

[EDITOR: Profuse apologies to Andrew Warren and Wincanton Youth Theatre for publishing this so late.]

Don’t miss out. The first two performances were today, Saturday 15th December, at 2pm and 7pm, but there are two more performances of the show tomorrow, Sunday 16th, at the same times. Tickers are £12, £8 concession, and there are family tickets available.

Tickets are available online or at the door.
