The Queen's Diamond Jubilee logoWincanton Camera Club has arranged a photographic competition to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, open to all residents of Wincanton.

The title of the competition is "Jubilee Celebrations" and entries are invited for photographs which catch the spirit of the various events which are being held throughout the town and parish to mark the occasion.

Photographs should be submitted as prints, no larger than A5 [approx 8 x 6 inches].
No more than 2 entries per person.

There are 2 classes:

  1. Adults
  2. Under 15s (on the 4th June 2012).

Entry forms are available from the Town Hall and Wincanton Library or you can print it right here. The closing date for entries is Friday 15th June and they should be delivered to the Town Hall or to Camelot Photographic. Entries will be judged by a panel of Club Committee members and Graham Hiscock of Camelot Photographic. £25.00 Prize Vouchers will be awarded to the winners in each class.

The winning prints and the runners-up will be enlarged and displayed at Camelot Photographic.

They will also be displayed, along with a selection of other entries, in Wincanton Library and here on Wincanton Window.

Owing to a very disappointing number of entries [only 4 in the Adult Class and 1 in the Under 15s], we have reluctantly decided that it would be inappropriate to award any prizes.
