The New Wincanton Film Society Season Approaches

Thursday 1 September 2011, 15:44
By John Smith

WFS is probably one of Wincanton's best kept secrets. Ok, we don't have a full blown full time cinema. That closed down years ago. However we have the next best thing. We are just about ready to raise the curtain on our 8th year of screening quality films from all over the world. As a commercial Society our doors are open to anyone over the age of 18, otherwise we fall foul of CRB clearances.

Come and join us to experience great films on the big screen (14x12'). Enjoy the benefits of 5.1 surround sound (where films allow). Enjoy the comfort of our cushioned seats on the risers. No need to contort to see the screen. Come and join us when the doors open at 7pm and have time of relaxed chat with fellow film lovers. Refreshments are available for a small donation.

The new 2011/12 season programme is at the printers and will be available for distribution at the start of September. Make sure you get your copy. We will advise you of any designated pick up points in a separate article. The 2011/12 films are:
