Margaret Kelly's Silk Painting

By Margaret Kelly

Margaret Kelly exhibiting her silk paintingsMy exhibition of silk painting, which I have been showing at Wincanton library, has created a great deal of interest.

Several people have expressed a desire to learn to do it themselves and as I explained I am running occasional tuition days in my new studio in Bayford.

One does not have to be very artistic but a love of colour is the greatest of assets. Everyone is quite likely to learn very quickly and after a few hours with me will produce a piece of work which will surprise them. One doesn't even have to draw, as much of the work is abstract, though always stimulating, eye-catching and thrilling. Having once learnt, one can easily keep up the skills at home.

Christmas time will therefore be a chance to give beautiful, light-weight gifts and to show how artistic you really are after all! Come and be brave, bring a friend and have a relaxing day with a difference!

Please ring for more information on 01963 32627.

I have known Margaret through local church connections for many years. However, until last years Windows of Wincanton art exhibition I never knew that Margaret was a very talented artist. For those who can remember her paintings were in Totally Floored.

When I saw her work I can say that I was indeed "Totally Floored". Now i see that she has another talent to share. Clearly you are one of Wincanton's best kept secrets.

I hope that many many people will contact Margaret and benefit from her obvious talents.

Well done Margaret.
