We are back again this coming Friday between 9.00am and 12.00pm for our first 2013 market in Wincanton. What a start to the year it has been with heavy snow, freezing temperatures and now wind and rain. Thank goodnesss we are inside on Friday.

I have 10 stalls booked in for this week. Sadly we are one down as Nic and George of Dorset Down Mushrooms have retired and ceased trading. We shall miss them and their mushrooms.

So this Friday we shall have:

  • Mary from Fussells Fine Foods, with rapeseed oils, mayonnaises and dressings.
    Fussells Fine Foods
  • Emma and Joy, Ham Street Produce, with their pork and wide range of baked products.
  • Janet, Mere Fish Farm with fresh and smoked trout.
    Mere Fish Farm
  • Jonothan, North Perrott Fruit Farm, with apple and pear juice and the last of Somerset Apples. He may be bringing some daffodils and primroses from his farm shop if they haven't sold out and there is room in the van.
    North Perrott Fruit Farm
  • Terry of Pure Pigs with lamb, beef, goat and their excellent fresh chicken and cooked ham. The goat is selling particularly well.
    Pure Pigs
  • Fran, Simply Cooking, with her home baked cakes, flapjacks, brownies, 'yummy' tiffin and savoury meals such as Fish Pie, Steak & Kidney Pie, and Bobotie.
    Simply Cooking
  • Matthew or Sean from Taylors Traditional Bakers from Bruton with fresh artisan bread, Multiseed, Sunflower, Soda, Granary, Tiger Bread, croissants and large tea cakes which I have become partial too lately.
    Taylors Traditional Bakers

    Gould's cheese
  • Adrian of Meze Meze with his Greek range of sweets and savouries including Tzatziki, Mousakka, Souvlakia and Sinach and Feta Pie.

Not a huge market but a wide range of local produce.

You are welcome to stay for a coffee in the Bear Inn and to use their free parking through the archway.

Hope to see you this Friday!
