"Blood on the Altar" - A True Crime Story by Tobias Jones

Tobias Jones was born and brought up in Horsington. He now lives with his Italian wife Francesca in Shepton Mallet where they are establishing a community to give respite and help to people who would benefit from the support and activities of their establishment.

With his Italian connections and having lived there for five years he wrote a book called "The Dark Heart of Italy". His latest book, "Blood on the Altar" was published on March 1st this year and is a true crime story based on the recent murder of a lady in Bournemouth which was linked to an unsolved murder 15 years previously in Italy. In many ways the story is stranger than fiction.

It is a moving and personally felt account which also tells a lot about a little known part of Southern Italy.

Tobias will be promoting his book with a book signing at Bailey Hill Bookshop, Castle Cary, on Saturday 21st April between 11.00am - 1.00pm.
