A wheelchair-bound schoolgirl is planning to overcome the limitations of her debilitating condition to raise £1 million for charity. Octavia Woodward, 13, of Charlton Musgrove, suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a condition characterised by chronic weakness of the muscles, but plans to drive a pony trap 100 miles from Windsor to her home.

Blueprint For Homes Comes Under Attack
Angry Wincanton residents claimed plans to build 350 new homes would damage the town at a council meeting this week. Town Councillors invited public questions on Monday to discuss South Somerset District Council's core strategy proposals. Despite a public consultation period existing since October, residents claimed they had not been given enough time to consider the document.

A five year project to build a war memorial for Charlton Musgrove reached its conclusion when the new village hall hosted a ceremony to commemorate Armistice Day. Villagers worked tirelessly to plan and manage the project to give Charlton Musgrove a fitting tribute to fallen soldiers from the village.
