Ruby Wedding Anniversary Raises Children's Ward Funds

Gill and Richard D'Arcy made the most of their ruby wedding anniversary by raising £162.50 for Yeovil District Hospital's children's outpatient department where their grandson, Luke Brewer, is a regular visitor.

Luke has a form of Cerebral Palsy and regularly comes to the children's outpatient department for check-ups. His mum, Hayley Brewer, said the hospital has been invaluable to the family and is always at the end of the phone when she needs support.

Richard and Gill held a party in Wincanton to celebrate their ruby wedding anniversary and asked for donations for Yeovil District Hospital's children's outpatients department and Horsington Primary School's Special Needs Department instead of gifts. The £325 raised was split equally.
