The Beaujolais is Back!
The first bottle of 2013 Beaujolais Nouveau has arrived in Wincanton from France in the boot of Stephen's classic 1966 Mini Cooper "Nicole". The wine will now be raffled by Divine Wines to raise money for Wincanton Community Hospital.
Police Arrest Driver After Crashing Into Church Gates
On Saturday 30th November a driver under the influence of drink drove the wrong way down Church Street, crashing into the gates at St Peter and St Paul’s Parish Church and causing considerable damage.

Wincanton Farmers' Market is Ending in December
Wincanton Farmers' Market, which has been a regular feature in the town since 1999, will close after its last market on Friday 6th December. Several producers are leaving the market and there are not enough stallholders left to make the market viable.

Large Number of Templecombe Sheep Killed in Animal Attack
Owners of land at Temple Lane in Templecombe were shocked and horrified when they discovered a large number of their sheep dead or dying on the morning of Tuesday 12th November 2013. Police are appealing for information.
