Wincanton's over-70s Christmas lunch 2018
Wincanton hosted its traditional over-70s Christmas lunch on Sunday 9th December 2018 at the Wincanton Memorial Hall. The event was organised by a group of volunteers with grants and donations from local businesses.
On behalf of those who attended, the organisers would like to thank Wincanton Town Council and Somerset Community Foundation for their grants towards the event, Wincanton Feoffees, Colin Winder and Morrisons supermarket who donated to the event, and to local butcher Andrew Barclay who has generously donated to this event year on year.
The guests enjoyed a game of Bingo and entertainment on the day was provided by Wincanton Amateur Dramatics Society (WADS). With the help of local volunteers serving on the day and the generosity of the donors, the event went smoothly and one hundred residents had a great day.
