Pen Selwood signOn Saturday 6th August, Pen Selwood celebrates 67 years of our traditional Village Fete with treats for all. The Fete opens at 12 noon in the Bryan Young Community Field, Pen Selwood, near Wincanton (BA9 8LT, formerly Pen Selwood Community Field), and is run by an enthusiastic team of villagers and represents tremendous value! The queues typically head first for Pen Selwood's famous White Elephant with donations sorted into specialist ‘shops’. Please note this is a cash event.

New for 2022 are two FREE activities provided all afternoon. Children can enjoy unlimited turns on a wide choice of circus skills while their parents have chance to browse the many stalls or enjoy the refreshments on offer. All ages can try their hand at rhythmic drumming. Youngsters are well catered for with their very own children's tombola and toy stall. Traditional games and coconut shy will appeal to the young at heart!

Pen Selwood's Flower, Craft & Produce Show will be back in St Michael's Church after a break due to the pandemic - always popular with Fete visitors, you will find plenty to enjoy and inspire.

Come hungry! The barbecue fires up for midday. Wash lunch down with a choice of local ales, ciders, Pimms, wines and soft drinks from the Pen Pub tent. All your favourites will be there including books, bottle tombola, cakes, grand draw, plants and produce and of course, the delicious Pen Teas from 12:30pm. Be sure to browse the popular Pre-loved Clothing & Accessories for both men and women. Come early to grab the best bargains!

Please note, NO dogs on Fete Field except guide dogs and NO entry to Fete Field before the noon opening. Proceeds will be divided between St Michael's Church and the Pen Selwood Community Association for their 2022 chosen charities.

Parking will be available in the adjacent field, located at the top of Great Hill - turn right at the grass triangle into the parking field.

The Fete finishes at approximately 4:30pm. FREE entry - a donation for Parking is much appreciated.
