Colonel John Blashford-Snell will be giving a talk in Horsington Church on Friday 9th December at 7.30pm. Tickets for a suggested donation of £8 at the door or phone 01963 371478.

Colonel John Blashford-Snell is one of the most seasoned and respected explorers of the day. A former Royal Engineer, he has led over 100 expeditions, including the first descent of the Blue Nile and the navigation of virtually all the 2,700 miles of the Congo. He is also involved in charitable work for disadvantaged young people and in expeditions for Operations Drake and Raleigh.

Do come and hear about the adventurous explorations of Colonel Blashford-Snell in the heart of this mysterious and exciting continent and learn more about the intrepid courage of the early explorers such as Stanley and Livingstone.
