Ansford Academy Christmas fayre

Ansford Academy is holding a Christmas fayre and raffle on Thursday 16th November between 6pm and 10pm, to raise money to purchase 3D printers and other mobile devices that will help the school to prepare students for today’s technology-rich world.

The fayre is the brainchild of parent from Templecombe whose son attends Ansford Academy.

My son suffers with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the school staff have been amazingly helpful, helping him to gradually re-integrate into daily school life. He is now attending classes for a couple of hours a day, and I stay at the school, to plan the fayre.

The fayre will provide plenty of fun and get the festive season off to a good start with mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas carols and lights. Reservations have already been received for stalls selling beautiful handmade yoga cushions, locally produced cider and cheeses, home décor, handmade fleeces, dog coats, outdoor waxed clothing, hand turned candlesticks and bird boxes. There will also be a Christmas raffle with tickets on sale at the event, with the following prizes.

  • Dinner for two at Holbrook House in the Cedar Restaurant
  • Voucher from Grace Haine Eyecare for sunglasses
  • Wyke Farm cheese hamper
  • Chocolate from James Chocolates
  • Free MOTs from Vale Autos
  • Bags of coal and compost from Darch Fuels
  • Neal’s Yard Hamper
  • Vouchers for facial treatments
  • Sets of car decals from Vale Signs
