Will & Amy Celebrate Two Years at The Nog Inn!

Will & Amy Cutts, now running the Nog InnBack in 2007 we moved into The Nog Inn after four long years of searching for the "right" Freehouse for us. Both The Nog Inn, and Wincanton, ticked all the boxes on our extensive search criteria - and here we are!

Prior to our move Will worked as a manager for Marstons in South West London and Amy worked part-time as a legal PA in the city. We were looking for a better work-life balance and a nicer environment to bring up our family.

The first change we made when we moved to The Nog, was to redesign the beer garden. This involved a lot of back-breaking work during the Spring of 2008, but we were reaping the rewards by the Summer. It's incredibly peaceful and real sun trap too! We put in a heated smoking area for our customers to use during the colder and wetter months which has proved very popular. The garden has also been host to a few great parties too - the most memorable ones being "The Birmingham Blues Brothers" and "Firewall" who have played for us on Fathers Day 2 years in a row now - very popular with the fathers! Live rock music & an afternoon out at the pub with the family!

We welcome families & pets to the pub and both are well catered for. Children have their own menu, a wide selection of board games, bizzibags (activity packs) and a Nintendo Wii to keep them occupied. To keep the parents happy we offer a wide selection of imported lagers and beers, local ales & ciders and a range of good value wines.

On the food front, we offer fresh and local home cooked pub food - we are not trying, and don't want to be, a restaurant. We just want to offer good, honest home cooked food - our most popular item by far on the menu is Will's home made 8oz beef burgers - once tried, never surpassed! We also offer daily specials every day, these vary according to the time of year and we try to use local produce that is in season.

Next year we plan to update the top area in the pub and restore some of the original features. This includes reinstating the original fire place and painting and decorating. Once inside the pub you will always receive a warm welcome from Will, Amy & their staff, and we would like the first impression you get from the pub to reflect this too!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
