It's Party Time at Truffles! We will be running Christmas Party menus for both lunch and dinner in December in addition to our normal meals. See the menus at the bottom of this article. Make this your venue for the office party or family gathering. All Party bookings must be pre-booked and secured with a £5 deposit per person.

French Flair and Style

To assist the Chef in ordering it would be helpful if all your guests could decide on their course selections at least 7 days prior to your booking.

Taste of the West Award 2013 - SilverBy the way, Truffles will be open this year for Christmas lunch (single sitting only). Still some space left at £50 per person. View the menu on our website.

If you are a party organiser and you book a lunch or dinner booking for 8 persons or more we will reward you with a £20 voucher which can be exchanged for any meal consumed at Truffles in January or February 2014. Note that a discretionary 12.5% service charge will apply to all group bookings in excess of 8 persons.

Served with chutney and toast

Winter vegetable soup, crusty bread

Saumon fumé
Blinis with smoked salmon, crème fraîche and dill

Dinde rôtie
West Country Bronze Turkey with pigs in blankets, chestnut stuffing and Turkey Gravy

Boeuf bourguignon
Dexter beef slow cooked in red wine with baby onions, wild mushrooms and smoked pork

Chèvres fromage
Goat's cheese, spinach and chestnut in a pastry case, mustard sauce

Filets de sole gratinée
Sole fillets in mornay sauce with a herb and parmesan crust

All served with Roast Potatoes, buttered Baby Brussels Sprouts and Roast Seasonal Vegetables

Black truffle & forest mushroom soup, cider braised onion turnovers

Foie gras
Duck foie gras roasted on a Bayford farm fig tatin, port glaze

Trois coquillages
Baked oyster Bienville, giant shrimp with aioli, scallop with sauce verte

Cuisses de grenouilles Provençale
Frog's legs, deep fried with garlic on a winter salad

Boeuf bourguignon
Dexter beef slow cooked in red wine with baby onions, wild mushrooms and smoked pork

Chèvres fromage à raclette
Goat's cheese baked with honey roast chestnuts

Ballotine de Dinde
Breast of West Country Bronze turkey, stuffed with sage, chestnuts and sausage; butter basted, wrapped in bacon and roasted. Served with fondant potato, glazed sprouts, root vegetable terrine, turkey gravy & cranberry relish

Filet de Boeuf Rossini
Medium rare, medallions of Dexter beef fillet on a paté de foie gras crouton, finished with a black truffle and marsala sauce. Served with dauphinoise potato & creamed spinach

Paupiette de sole et cresson, Sauce Nantua
Fillets of sole stuffed with watercress then baked in a crayfish sauce. Served with fresh herb croquette potatoes and a buttered cabbage and chestnut parcel

Roast artichoke heart and pine nuts baked in a rich saffron batter. Served with béarnaise sauce, braised baby onions, steamed kale and roast parsnips
