Shepton Montague Village Fete 2017

Shepton Montague Village Fete will be held this Saturday 4th September at 2pm - 4:30pm, Higher Farm, BA9 8JJ and follow the signs. Free entry and parking, but sorry, we can't accommodate dogs.

The hamlet of Shepton Montague punches above its weight when judged by the atmosphere and quality of its traditional village fête. The event started life  many years ago as a cream tea event, which over the decades morphed into a full village fête, and in recent years it has taken place in the back garden (field) of Robert and Christina Dimond. This excellent venue gives the fête a rather special "feel" which is admired by visitors and locals alike.

Shepton Montague Village Fete 2021 posterThis year, in addition to the usual attractions (bar, BBQ, creams teas, bric-a-brac, skittles, children's games etc) they have introduced The Detectorists (have a go finding buried coins), "Made in Shepton Montague" crafts (as well as jams and cakes), and a tent devoted to "games of skill" (an electrifying experience!).

The raffle prizes this year

  • £100 cash
  • Lunch for 4 & bottle of wine at the Montague Inn
  • 6-bottle case of Babylonstoren red wine
  • £50 meat voucher for Kimbers' farm shop
  • £40 voucher to spend at The Chapel
