Pizza Palace & Burger Bar opened in Wincanton, on Monday 19th June, in the shop that used to be Amin's Indian restaurant. They offer a wide range of pizzas, as well as burgers, sides and kids' meals, and pride themselves in only using fresh ingredients.

The Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul in Wincanton was burgled some time during the night of Friday 16th and the morning of Saturday 17th June 2017. The forced entry caused damage to two of the stained glass windows.
