Longmead Veterinary Practice under construction in Wincanton

By the end of 2017 Wincanton will have a new veterinary practice. The Shaftesbury based Longmead Veterinary Practice has decided to expand, aiming to have their new facility open for business some time in November.

The new building nestles neatly between Wincanton Health Centre and the new dementia home currently under construction on the western edge of Cale Park. Longmead already has a small branch in Tisbury, but Wincanton will be its first new full practice.

The Wincanton practice will provide clients with a full range of veterinary diagnostic and surgical services. They are geared to the treatment of domestic animals and pets. The new centre will have separate dog and cat wards, air conditioning and disability access. There will be ample on-site parking for both staff and clients.

The Longmead directors will share oversight of the day to day running of the practice, with the help and support of a receptionist and two nurses. Services will be available 365 days a year, and include 24 hour emergency cover.

Practice opening times will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm, and Saturday, 8:30am - 12 noon.

The directors are happy to receive applications for information about the forthcoming new practice and can be contacted with the following details.
