A resident of Wincanton for 25 years, I am the owner of ImageCakes; I have been a magistrate for 16 years; I chair the Blackmore Vale Businesses (BVB) group. I feel passionately about our town. It is my strong belief that many small steps can be taken to return this town to one we can once again all be proud of.

A recent altercation between Wincanton Town Council and South Somerset District Council has finally cleared up some of the confusion caused by prior miscommunication that may have lead to the introduction of parking meters in Wincanton. We're now safe for at least three years.

A report of the crowded public meeting in Churchfields which discussed the potential introduction of car parking charges. An overwhelming majority voted in favour of accepting an increase in the precept rate in order to keep the car parks free.
