St. Margaret's Hospice information and coffee morning
St. Margaret's Hospice is holding a coffee morning on Monday 25th March, 10:30am in the Sun Lounge at Wincanton Memorial Hall (BA9 9JF), to provide an opportunity to meet the Community Fundraiser, Terena Young, who will update you on opportunities to support the Hospice in South and East Somerset.
We are planning to recruit new Community Champions in the area; people who understand the activities that the hospice undertakes and can assist us in dispelling some of the myths about what a hospice actually offers, which may prevent residents from accessing our free services.
The morning will take a relaxed format, with a quiz and a short presentation from staff about the care that we provide at both our in-patient units and throughout our local community. It is also an opportunity to find out more about how our wonderful volunteers help us, from offering as little as just an hour of their time a year, having a home collecting pot or joining their local community fundraising group. All of this assists us to raise the £26k daily that we need in order to keep our services available to the Somerset community.
