Dramatic reading of Mark's Gospell

The Gospel of Mark it seems was written to be read aloud straight through in the early Christian Church. Doing this without interruption or commentary allows people to experience the gospel as a whole. Using the New Revised Standard Version set out to be read by six readers and with a break for refreshments, the reading on Friday in St. Luke's Catholic Church and the following Thursday in the more secular setting of the Balsam Centre will be carried out by an ecumenical team from the town.

The reading on Friday will give everyone a good chance to see what has been achieved in the refurbishment of St. Luke's and will be a good opportunity for those of any faith or none to meet each other and hear this powerful text.

There is no charge, but contributions when you leave to cover expenses would be appreciated.
