Last month Wincanton Tennis Club committee appointed a new Head Coach. Dan Cahill, who is Level 3 certified, has impressive experience in teaching tennis and fitness to juniors of all ages and adults across a wide range of abilities. As a member of Yale University, he played semi-professionally in tournaments in Connecticut and along the East Coast of the USA.

Dan has already planned tennis/multi-sport Summer Camps and a fundraising tennis marathon, but aims to develop junior, adult and team coaching programmes as well as developing strong links with local schools. He also hopes to play for the club in their league competitions.

Chairman Rik Elvidge commented,

"This is an exciting time for Wincanton Tennis Club. We have been very fortunate to secure the services of such a high quality tennis coach, with that rare combination of youthful enthusiasm and broad experience as a coach. I look forward to working with Dan, to promote tennis to all ages and abilities in the local area."

What a find! So pleased that Wincanton Tennis Club has a new coach. My children are now all enjoying tennis once more.
