Repair Cafe Wincanton will be opening in Cole's Yard soon

Repair Café Wincanton is a neighbourhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to throwing things out. The initiators are organising a Repair Café once a month in Cole’s Yard. Residents of Wincanton and surrounding areas can bring their broken items to fix them on the spot with the help of voluntary repairers. Repair Café Wincanton could use more handy volunteers in the area. Join us!

Repair Café Wincanton is looking for local residents with different skills who can be present as repair experts during the Repair Café meetings. We are especially looking for people who are handy with:

Clothing / textiles Bicycles
Electrical appliances Furniture / wooden objects
Jewellery Children’s toys

...and who enjoy sharing their knowledge with their neighbours.

In addition, we are also looking for people who wish to fulfil the role of host / hostess at the meetings. You would provide coffee and tea, welcome visitors and serve as a contact point for both visitors and repairers in the Repair Café.

We are also looking for someone who enjoys working with social media and who could help us make Repair Café Wincanton more present on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
