Avon & Somerset Police have re-arrested a 46-year-old man and 31-year-old woman from Somerset in relation to the fail-to-stop incident, which led to the death of an 84-year-old man in Bruton.

David Hick died shortly after the collision in Cole Road on the evening of the 14th of October.

The man and woman have been released on police bail pending further enquiries and so the Crown Prosecution Service can be consulted over prosecution advice for them and a second man - from the London area - who was previously arrested.

Avon & Somerset Police are also appealing for the driver of a dark coloured new-style VW Golf that drove along Cole Road just before the collision at about 8.23pm, travelling from the direction of Sexey’s School towards the town centre.

We believe the driver could have useful information to help our investigation and would urge them to contact Yeovil CID on the force number 101.
