Town Centre Hit With Graffiti

Wednesday 20 October 2010, 13:24
By Jenny Maynard

Graffiti found in the town centreDuring the weekend of Friday 8th to Sunday 10th October 2010, Wincanton was subjected to an onslaught of childish and ugly graffiti. The offender/s messed around the Town Centre area, scribbling on local shops, on cars and the walls of people's homes. In doing so they not only made an ugly mess, but caused considerable damage which will be both time-consuming and expensive to repair.

This behaviour has caused much upset in the town. Home owners and shop keepers take great pride in their properties and this pathetic, mindless vandalism causes a lot of distress and needless financial loss. We are appealing for any witnesses who may have some knowledge about who may have been involved.

You can contact us on 0845 456 7000 or you can call Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name and never trace your call.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.
