Petty Crimes Cause Needless Upset for Victims

Tuesday 16 October 2012, 09:55
By Mandy Forsey

Overnight on Tuesday 2nd October from 22.00 until 09.00 on Wednesday 3rd October 2012, person(s) have put graffiti on a side wall to a house in Church Street, Wincanton. The graffiti is in black and has been done on top of a painted wall.

This type of mindless damage has caused the victim needless upset for no reason. This means the wall now has to be re-painted, which will have a cost implication. When this mindless damage happens people that carry it out don't think about the consequences of their actions to the victims.

In another incident, overnight between Wednesday 10th October and Thursday 11th October 2012, diesel was stolen from a vehicle on Wincanton Business Park, Wincanton.

The theft of this diesel is so needless and has a huge effect on the owners. It has a knock-on effect for the owner as well as members of the public that may use the services of the company affected by the theft. This means that the extra cost may well be then passed on to the customers.

If you have any information in regard to these crimes or others, we ask you to get in contact with us on the new non emergency number 101 or you can contact Crimestoppers on the number below. This behaviour will not be tolerated and we are hoping for the assistance of the local community.
