Wincanton Museum and History Society appeals for donors of artefacts used in the museum to come forward to collect their items before the end of December, after it was announced the museum has closed.

The museum was forced to shut last month due to low visitor numbers and financial difficulties. Discussions are ongoing in an attempt to display some items in accessible display cabinets around the town.

Requests for the return of artefacts should be made in writing to John Atkins, Curator, Wincanton Museum, 32 High Street, Wincanton BA9 9HZ.
