Cakes on a cake standMother's Day (Sunday 10th March 2013) is fast approaching. However, we are all feeling the financial squeeze so what we all need is a way to make Mum feel special without spending too much money. Well, we can help!

Sunday 10th March 2013 sees the annual fund-raiser for Bourton and Zeals' Pre-school in the form of a café at Stourton Village Hall in the Spread Eagle courtyard, Stourhead.

So how about taking Mum for a walk around the beautiful Stourhead gardens or house and when you've worked up an appetite and a thirst pop into the village hall to sample some of our delicious cakes, lovingly baked by the parents and supporters of the children at the Pre-School.

However, we don't just serve scrumptious cakes, we also serve yummy bacon butties, fresh and home-made sandwiches, home-made cream teas, cups of tea, coffee and squash, not to mention soup and a roll for a more substantial meal!

We think this is a win, win deal. You get great food for a reasonable price, Mum gets a treat and you feel really good too as you've helped out a local charity who ploughs all monies made back into facilities for the children who attend the pre-school! What's not to like?

If you're not tempted yet then have just one last look at what our lovely bakers made for us last year...
