Mechanical Tools Worth £10,000 Stolen From Henstridge Business

Overnight on Saturday 14th April 2012 to Sunday 15th April 2012 from 18.00hrs - 11.20hrs there has been a burglary from Wessex Auto Care, Henstridge. Numerous mechanical tools used for vehicle repairs and a White Berlingo Van have been stolen. The value for these items is approximately £10,000. The victim stated that he felt shocked and totally numbed by the burglary and this is going to have a huge affect on his business.

This incident is going to affect the victim's business on two levels, the first being the loss of the tools to carry on his day-to-day business and therefore losing money, but also having to claim on the insurance for the theft. This has a knock on effect for the business owner as well as customers who have now had to have their jobs delayed.

The victim is distressed by this incident. It has left him feeling shocked and numb. If you see any of these items for sell at markets or see them for sell at second-hand shops or are offered them by persons please contact the police. With your help we want to try and stamp out these thefts.

If you have any information in regard to these crimes or others, we ask you to get in contact with us on the new non-emergency number 101 or you can contact Crimestoppers on the number below. This behaviour will not be tolerated and we are hoping for the assistance of the local community. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious at this time.
