King Arthur's Students Celebrate in Style

By John Baxter

The Prom for King Arthur's leavers at Holbrook House this year took place on Wednesday 29th June 2011. It was a beautiful sunny evening. This really set off the amazing arrivals of the stretched limos and sports cars which are always such an important part of these occasions, as the students vie with each other to make a grand entrance. The climax comes as they disembark to reveal a wonderful collection of glamorous gowns and smart suits.

Coming at the end of the exams the Prom also marks the end of five years of schooling and is a great chance to dress up and express a more adult identity.

The fashion parade was watched by parents, tutors and teachers as they proceeded up the red carpet which led into the ball-room, where dinner was followed by a disco.

Prom Queens, and a windswept King for good measure.
