Wincanton Branch Certificate of Appreciation and shield awarded to KAIn an assembly on 26th April 2011 the school was presented with a certificate and shield in recognition of it's close links with the Royal British Legion and upholding local remembrance by representatives of the Wincanton branch, Anthony Goddard and Arthur Pickup, together with local Councillor Mrs Anna Groskop.

Next year two Year 11 students of the school will act as ambassadors between the Legion and young people of the community to further this work. We hope this relationship will continue to promote a shared understanding of the values of service and selflessness.

Later this summer, June 25th, students will help commemorate the crash landing of the Second World War US bomber 'The Old Faithful' at the site of the crash.

Members of the British Legion, with KA students and Headteacher, and Mrs Anna Goskop
