PCSO Jenny MaynardOvernight on Tuesday 14th September 2010, A sharp implement was used to pierce the front and rear tyres of a car parked in Balsam Park, Wincanton causing them to deflate. PCSO Maynard said, 'This example of criminal damage will not be tolerated, and we are appealing to the community to bring forward any information that would help the Wincanton Beat Team bring the offender to justice.'

At approximately 2130 on Thursday 16th September 2010, the Wincanton Beat Team were called to an incident in Southgate Drive, Wincanton. Upon arrival they were met by dozens of kitchen tiles smashed all over the road from Moor Lane to the end of Southgate Drive, and onto other cul-de-sacs.

PCSO Jenny Maynard said, 'Not only did this reckless behaviour waste Police time and the District Council resources which had to be used to clearing the mess, but it also put residents car tyres at risk. This is a residential area, and the noise of smashing tiles would have been very disturbing and upsetting for the local community to hear. Smashed tiles are as sharp as glass, and this mindless behaviour also puts dogs at risk of getting their paws cut. If anyone has any knowledge of who the offenders are please contact us'.

You can contact us on 0845 456 7000 or you can call Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name and never trace your call.'

If you need any further information on the above, please contact me on 07825 388 939.

Many Thanks,

PCSO Jenny Maynard
