PCSO Mandy Forsey has just completed her first cycle training (Right Track) for children at Milborne Port. This was open to Year Six children at Milborne Port Primary School and the course was attended by eight children.

The course started on Thursday 2nd August and was completed on Saturday 4th August. Mandy decided to run the course in blocks of four hours each day, with an assessment on the final day. All eight children passed with flying colours and they were a real pleasure to teach.

As well as the children, Mandy was also being assessed in her teaching skills by Mike Ralph from Somerset Road Safety, to make sure she was competent to run other cycle courses. Mandy also passed her assessment.

Mandy would like to thank all the parents who volunteered to give up their time to help with the training. These included Claire, Cheryl, Shaun, Nick, Tracey, and PCSO Tim Russell. Mandy and the group were well catered for with Tracey supplying cream teas for the group and Nick supplying ice creams. Mandy said, "It was such a great group with supportive and fun volunteers and the refreshments were a real bonus. I would like to say a huge thank you to each and every one for their help and support, I really appreciated it".

The children that completed the course are Jasmine Bailey, Eleanor Bailey, Ellisa Blake, Kira Blake, Cameron Dyer, Reuben Hawker, Megan Baker and Phoebe Redman. Congratulations to you all and keep up the good work when you are out and about on your bike.
