And Now the Cricket Pitch! More Vandalism in Wincanton [UPDATED]

The vandalised cricket pitchOver the weekend of Friday 3rd June - Monday 6th June, a considerable amount of damage has been caused to the cricket pitch off Cavalier Way, Wincanton. An unknown person/persons have caused damage to the cricket square grass and the fence surrounding the area.

This mindless vandalism is totally unacceptable, and we are keen for anyone to come forward with information on who has caused this damage. You can contact us on 0845 456 7000 or you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name and never trace your call.

UPDATE FROM JENNY MAYNARD, 23 JUNE 2011

Over the weekend of Fri 17/6/11 to Monday 20/6/2011 someone has thrown a glass bottle at the front door of the David Sharp Centre in the Recreation Area of Wincanton, causing the glass in the door to shatter.

We are appealing for witness with any knowledge of who has caused this reckless damage. Wincanton Recreation area is one of our patrol priority areas in Wincanton, so any information from the community of anti-social behaviour occurring at the time, would be really appreciated. If the residents of Wincanton can work with us, then we will be able to deal robustly with those people that ruin it for the rest.
