100th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme Memorial Ceremony
Friday 1st July marks the 100th anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Somme during World War One. You are invited to attend a memorial ceremony at the town’s War Memorial, located next to the Memorial Hall.
Wincanton Armed Forces Day – Saturday 25th June 2016
This year’s Armed Forces Day has again been organised by the town’s branch of the Royal British Legion. To accommodate the continued growth of the event this year’s event will be held in the grounds of King Arthur’s Community School.

Wincanton Remembrance Parade & Service 2015
Once again, Wincanton saw a good turnout of both spectators and those participating in the Remembrance Day parade down through the High Street. It was particularly encouraging to see many younger members of the community involved in the event.
