Youth Club 'Sketches of Wartime Wincanton' posterAre you 11-18 years old? Need something to do on a Tuesday evening? Come and take part in an art project at the Youth Club over the next four weeks, starting on 3rd June. Learn about a young man who lost his life in World War One. The workshop is free, you just need to pay to join Youth Club.

The world is marking the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War and over the next few weeks the Youth Club in Wincanton is taking part in an Art project with Sophie Bellars. Learn about the impact of War on a community; learn about the local heroes who died for their country and respond by making art work that will be exhibited at the Balsam Centre on the 5th July as part of Sketches of Wartime Wincanton: Heritage and Arts project.

There will be a prize draw each week when the Art project is taking place and you could be in with the chance of winning sweets, drinks or vouchers.

Youth Club is every Tuesday from 7.00-9.00pm and costs 50p a night and food and drink can also be purchased from the kitchen which sells healthy foods such as non-fizzy drinks, toast and cereal, all at low cost.
