Volunteers Urgently Needed for Companion Club

Could you offer a few hours of your time, on a Tuesday, to help at a club run by the Wincanton Live At Home Scheme, aimed at combating loneliness and social isolation in the elderly?

The club runs every week at the David Sharpe Centre and any help offered would be very much appreciated. This could be helping the cook in the kitchen in the morning, helping with activities (crafts/quizzes/music) with the members in the afternoon, or just general help through the day. The club runs from 10.00am in the morning until 3.00pm in the afternoon.

You could do just a few hours once a month, just come in school term time, or come every week. Any amount of time you could give would be of help to us, as two of our longstanding volunteers are retiring at Christmas.
