New Rotary Club for the Bruton, Castle Cary, Wincanton Area

Wednesday 14 April 2010, 13:30
By Roger Lowe

We are looking for enthusiastic men and women of all ages and backgrounds who will use their energy, humour and professional skills to help us to make a difference to the lives of others, both in their local community and abroad. We aim to organize events from days out, competitions, fetes, rallies, concerts - in fact, anything you can imagine - in order to help and raise funds for both local and international charities and causes.

By joining the club now you will be able to play a significant role in the format and nature of the club.

Brue Valley Rotary ClubAt a recent meeting, the club was granted provisional club status by Tony Quinn, the District Governor, seen here standing on the left in the photogragh whilst Roger Lowe, president, signs the registration documents. With a few more members it is hoped that the new club will be fully chartered in the near future.

Meetings: Every Thursday Evening at the Stag's Head Inn, Yarlington

Whilst the club is holding weekly meetings it is appreciated that people are very busy and will not be able to attend all meetings. Since all meetings are informal occasions it's a great place to socialise with like minded people whilst helping your local community. "Rotarians should attend meetings because they are a good use of time, not because they feel guilty about not attending".
