South Somerset District Council is working with Blackmore Vale Business Breakfast, Bruton and Wincanton Chambers of Commerce to hold a business event at Haynes Motor Museum on Thursday 2nd November, 4 - 7pm.

The event will comprise workshops, presentations and advice, and is open to businesses across South Somerset and neighbouring counties. Businesses of all ages, shapes and sizes will find something of interest.

Close to the A303, Haynes Motor Museum provides a convenient venue for businesses based in South West Wiltshire and North Dorset as well as Somerset. The significance of the A303 corridor for local commerce has made Highways England an early choice of speaker at the event. Networking businesses along the A303 is a priority for the event.

The programme will include networking time with a range of support organisations and funding bodies including the Local Enterprise Partnership, Somerset Business Agency, Heart of Wessex Local Action Group (managed by a team based in the Balsam Centre in Wincanton) and Cosmic.

Between sessions, car enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the museum’s famous Red Room collection.

To register for the event email or phone 01935 462268.

A buoyant local economy is something Area East Committee is keen to encourage. Events such as this ensure that our local businesses don’t miss out because they will have access to the organisations which offer support and funding on their doorstep.

 - Nick Weeks, Chairman of SSDC’s Area East Committee
