Eight learners from Wincanton recently attended an award ceremony to receive their qualification certificates. Somerset Skills and Learning presented the certificates at their training centre, King Arthur's Community School.

Learners have achieved the Certificate in Administration Level 2 and computer courses, such as ECDL Extra Level 2 (European Computer Driving Licence). They are now putting their new skills into practice in the workplace, benefitting local employers.

Kay Walker, tutor, said, "It has been a really successful year and it was great to be able to celebrate learner achievements and to hear about what they are doing now, with many having gained employment as a result of achieving their qualifications."

More courses will be starting in September. Those interested in finding out 'what's on' in Wincanton can call 0845 688 0488 and talk to a Customer Advisor.
