Local author publishes First World War novel

Sarah Caundle, who lives in Templecombe, has just published her first novel. Her fiction explores the impact of the War on loved ones at home as well as the men at the Front, and was inspired by a visit to the Devonshire Cemetery on the Somme.

At long last the public toilet at Cale Park has re-opened, and there's a brand new drinking water fountain in the play area! Since the play area has received a huge upgrade it has been so popular the Town Council has prioritised getting the amenities up and running.

There were smiles all around at Carrington House when an animal handling company paid the residents a visit. Activities staff at the Wincanton care home organised for ZooLab to bring their animals to meet everyone. A few residents were nervous to start with, but soon got involved.
