The Colour of Sound - A New Community Choir

Rachel Gadd, experienced musician, vocalist, songwriter and performerThe 'Colours of Sound' is the name chosen by Rachel Gadd for a new community choir she is forming at the Balsam Centre in Wincanton.

Rachael is an experienced musician, vocalist, songwriter and performer and she previously led a successful community choir in Australia. Having recently moved to this area she is keen to start a choir locally.

Rachel is a strong advocate of the value of singing as being something fundamental for our health and sense of wellbeing. She is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners Network which is part of a growing movement which promotes singing in groups that are supportive, fun and relaxed and which provide an environment for people to find their voices and enjoy the pleasure of singing with others. She teaches by ear to make all the songs she uses accessible to every participant.

The first meeting of the choir will take place on Wednesday 16th June, 6-8pm at the Balsam Centre in Wincanton. All are welcome and no previous musical experience is required. Cost is £2 per session. For further information please contact Rachael on 07866 528654 or .
