Friday 21 September 2012, 13:50
By Emma Harrison

We invite everyone from the local area to come and look around our school, meet the staff and current students at King Arthur's Open Evening on Thursday 27th September from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Chris Beech, the school's new Headteacher, will give a presentation at 7.30pm.

Some King Arthur's studentsEveryone is welcome! You do not have to have a child of school age to see what happens at the school.

During the evening you will be able to:

  • hear young musicians playing
  • see our girls choir 'Soul Sisters' perform
  • see our Greenpower car (officially the top car in Somerset)
  • make and taste a dessert
  • have a go at a science experiment such as how to make a jelly baby scream!
  • try a new sport such as fencing
  • look at your house from space using Google earth on an interactive whiteboard
  • see students artwork on display
  • try some refreshments at our International Café (but you will need to try and speak a little French or German!)
