Wincanton Racecourse is collaborating with Clarks Village to bring you its best Ladies’ Night yet, next Thursday 9th May, with fabulous prizes to win for the best dressed ladies.

It’s all about sunshine, racing and the chance to sparkle, so dust off your best frocks, press your shirt collars and join us for a day out against the backdrop of some action packed races and live music.

Trainers’ wives Ciara Fry, Rachael Honeyball and Jade Barber are the 2019 Ladies’ Night ambassadors. From 6pm they’ll be independently judging the best dressed ladies, selecting their top six from whom they will choose their winner and two runners up.

“I’m honoured to be one of Wincanton’s Ladies Night ambassadors and it is such a treat to be asked. Ladies nights are always so popular. They are a super way to enjoy an evening at the races, while dressing up for the occasion too, and it’s great to be asked to get involved and help promote a great night out.”

Rachael, a former national point-to-point champion with more than 150 winners in point-to-points and under rules, said:

“It’s a privilege to be asked to be an ambassador for our local racecourse where I’ve had such a long association, from going with mum and dad when I was very young, to coming back on a bigger scale as a trainer’s wife. It’s lovely to be doing it with two such good friends too.”

Ladies' Night ambassadors Jade Barber, Rachael Honeyball and Ciara Fry at Clarks VillageAll three expert horsewomen in their own right, by their own admission the ladies say breeches, wellies and muddy jackets are their usual attire, but to launch their ambassador roles they were invited by the evening’s sponsor, Clarks Village, the UK’s first outlet centre in the heart of Somerset, for a fashion shoot and to choose an outfit each for the evening.

During the evening there’ll be a chance to win an array of prizes, including vouchers to spend at Clarks Village.

Live music throughout the evening and after the racing will add to the fantastic atmosphere that goes hand-in-hand with Ladies’ Night. Pre-booked tickets are available from £12.
